A common theme is history of developing societies is conflict with indigenous people. As countries develop culture, land and traditions are challenged and rights are often violated. So the question is how do indigenous societies develop or coincide along with the development?

As many of you know, the world's leaders gathered together in New York City at the end of September to discuss the state of the Millennium Development Goals, as well as what can still be done in the next five years to continue their progress. The UN released update papers concerning the current assessment of where the goals are as well as where the world can continue to focus their efforts in order to make new progress or continue all that has already been done.
