The Czech Republic is a parliamentary democracy based in capital city Prague of 10,627,448 people. While the Republic of Czechoslovakia gained independence in 1918, the Czech Republic gained its own independence in 1993 when Czechoslovakia dissolved peacefully into Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
