Yemen (i/ˈjɛmən/; Arabic: اليَمَن‎ al-Yaman) is the second largest country in the Arabian Peninsula, encompassing a total of 203,850 sq. miles. It shares borders with Saudi Arabia to the north, the Red Sea to the west, Oman to the east, and the Gulf of Aden and the Arabian sea to the west. The capital and largest city of Yemen is Sanaa with 2.5 million inhabitants.
